Before I learned how to analyze research and became a sports dietitian, I felt overwhelmed by all the conflicting nutrition information. As an athlete, I wanted to do what was best for my body, but I didn't know what to believe.

I just wanted someone to tell me what would work for me so I could leave the rest.  This is why I got my PhD in nutrition, so I could read the research for myself instead of listening to some "guru" on the internet or reading books that tried to push an agenda.
